“I cannot express how glad I am that I found out about VRBO and went with this rental! I went back and forth almost up to the last week before my trip trying to figure out what would work best for us when friends suggested VRBO and the Beach Villas in Ko’Olina. Both are true friends! We took the trip because our son plays football for the UNI Panthers, who played against U. of Hawaii this past Saturday. I wasn’t sure whether to stay in a condo downtown (nearest to the team) or in Ko’Olina. We had a chance to visit downtown and, while it was fun walking around (and dining at Duke’s – Incredible food!), we were smart to stay at the Beach Villas. We stayed in a two bedroom condo, which was even better than the pictures. Everything was top notch; top of the line appliances and nice comfortable furnishings. And spotless! We could see the beach and the golf course from our balcony (lanai), which was huge and the pocket doors made it feel like an extension to the already-large living room. I loved, loved, loved the master suite, which could be closed off from the rest of the condo (my sanctuary at times). The huge soaker tub was also a very nice treat as I sipped a cocktail while watching Big Brother. And watching the sun come up was beautiful, especially while sipping coffee from the master balcony (lanai). The whole gated area is gorgeous but I thought the Beach Villas was more perfectly suited for us than the surrounding facilities (two Marriott locations and Disney’s Aulani) because it offered a more peaceful feel and wasn’t near as crowded around the pool, beach or bar areas as the others seemed to be. So we were able to go swimming in one of two pools when only a couple of other people were there. We also used a hot tub (one of three, I believe) privately and went swimming in the lagoon with very few other people. It is also really close to shopping and near a lot of stores for groceries and anything else you might need. Fine dining was also available close by (within walking distance), as well as inexpensive options (five-minute drive). It was a perfect first Hawaiian experience for us! Down side: Don’t get caught in rush hour traffic trying to make it back to Ko’Olina from Waikiki! Find someplace to enjoy a Mai Tai and wait just it out. A huge “Thank you” to Munro, Blaine, and Erin, who handled everything throughout the whole process so efficiently, effectively and professionally!” – Liann, Hale Ali’I Villa

“This was our 4th time staying at the KoOlina Beach Villas (3 different units). We always love the pools, koi ponds, and accessibility of the beach lagoons. This quiet unit had a nice ocean view facing the marina and we loved watching the ships come and go from the harbor. This property is a relaxing place (especially in contrast to Waikiki) to bring our young kids and almost everything you could need is already there (beach towels, beach toys and chairs, pack ‘n play with sheet, high chair…)- all we pack is some clothes (washer/dryer in unit) and buy food when we get to Kapolei, as the kitchen is great. We’re already looking forward to coming back to the same place next trip!” – Janice, Hale Ali’I Villa

“Our travel party of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) all agree that this is one of the best properties we have ever stayed at in Hawaii. It was a perfect home away from home – highly recommended. We have come to trust Munro properties for a quality, stress-free experience. The unit was clean, and well appointed with quality, functional furnishings and appliances which made everything easier on us. The pictures were lovely, but in person was even better. It had everything we would need in the kitchen and the bathroom, and even full size laundry appliances and beach toys. Having access directly to the beach was wonderful and the children very much enjoyed that. Having 3 full baths made it so easy to get everyone out the door quickly, or cleaned up after swimming in the beautiful pool or ocean beach. We also very much appreciated cable television programming for kids that could help occupy them for a few minutes while we unpacked or got dinner ready. Clearly, every aspect of daily life was thoughtfully considered before the appropriate furnishings, appliances and housewares were purchased. We did have some problems with the wifi on the 1st day, and assistance was provided quickly. There is rush hour traffic to content during commute hours if you want to go to Waikiki and the like, but on vacation we were in no rush so it was not an issue for us. We took the Ewa train that runs through Koolina (Sundays only at 1 pm and 3 pm) – this was great for the kids, as was the Pineapple Express at the Dole plantation.” – Dipa, Hale Nani Villa

“Our family of 6 absolutely loved this villa. Comfortable, spacious, quiet, clean and beautiful throughout. We loved cooking in the kitchen, having coffee on the balcony, but the amazing lagoon and the 2 great swimming pools on the grounds were what appealed to the kids! And the adults too – the lagoon is fabulous!” – Sheila, Hale Nani Villa

“Our stay at the Ko ‘Olina Beach Villas was a wonderful vacation. The condo is beautifully appointed. My husband and I, along with our teenaged son and daughter, and my parents were very comfortable in this 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything you could need to make tasty meals. The BBQ’s by the pool made for wonderful evening meals with the kids in the pool while the we bbq’ed. We also enjoyed the beach, a nice sheltered cove, and plenty of space to spread out towels and beach chairs. The garden area surrounding the Koi ponds was nice for strolls in the evening. The lanai was my favorite place for coffee in the morning. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property.” – Cathy, Hale Nani Villa

“This was the best vacation we have ever had. Planning and paying the trip was so hassle free with Munroes assistance. Upon arrival we were impressed with the prompt service of our accommodation specialist Blain. Our villa was perfect and filled with everything we needed to enjoy meals and family time. The three bedrooms were spacious and very clean. We also loved the individual privacy that this villa offered to each family. Our Lani was amazing and this villa has the most beautiful view. The pool and full service bar offered great service. We loved being moments away from the villas private ocean cove. The villa is close to dining options and grocery stores. It was also helpful to have shuttle service to main attractions around the island. We are planning to return to these villas every year for vacation, it was that great! The entire staff was awesome!!!!!!” – Jammie, Hale Nani Villa

“The resort and unit were perfect. This was our first time in Hawaii and what an experience. I am so glad we stayed in Ko Olina. We spent one day in Waikiki and that was enough. We rented a car for our ten days and travelled throughout the island. The unit was so spacious and everyone had their “wing” of space that included three separate bathrooms. The view of the ocean from our lanai was fabulous and my daughter made great use of the beach toys. The pools and hot tubs were also very nice, I loved getting our groceries from Costco and utilizing the bbqs. The vacation was simply perfect.” – Tanya, Hale Makana Villa

“We stayed in February 2014 with 4 adults a 3 year old and two 1 year olds. It was the perfect property. From the pools to the location you can’t ask for anything better. The unit is perfect, view is amazing. We were stunned by the actual quality of the finishes and amenities throughout the entire complex from the BBQ’s to the Gym. Unlike the Lagoon 1 or Lagoon 3, Lagoon 2 is nice and quiet, whereas the other lagoons are extremely busy, not ideal. The Ko Olina lagoon is the best one of the bunch. The lagoons are perfect. We were able to relax as our three year old ran in and out of the shallow calm water. No swell, no danger, perfect clear water. Close access to the North Shore (30 minute drive) paired with the convenience of Costco just down the road in Kapolei plus the dryest weather on the Island make Ko Olina our go to spot in Oahu now that we have a young family. Waikiki too busy, East coast too windy/rainy, not to mention Jellies in the waters on windy days for your kids (do choose the nicest days to hit up Lanikai/Kailua Beach though), North Shore too “keep it country” (not kind to tourists). Not to mention the golf course is flawless. I also cannot say enough about Munro. They were responsive, thorough and exemplify Aloha in their business practices in every way. Upon arrival Munro had Blaine meet us and help us with all of our luggage, show us around put us at ease after a long day of travelling. While we were there the dryer went, Munro showed up at our door 15 minutes later took our laundry and returned it in the AM clean and ready to go. Amazing service. Perfect service. We try to travel to Oahu 1-2 times per year, but only discovered Munro on this trip. Safe to say he has our most excellent referral and our business for many years to come.” – Jay, Hale Makana Villa

“Wow this place is phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are considering it. I never stopped commenting on how beautiful the villas and surrounding area were. Definitely the nicest spot in Ko Olina–far superior to Aulani and Marriott. We visited during offseason and it was very quiet. The Beach Villas are a mix of residents and guests. We found that most amenities were utilized by the guests during the week of September that we were there. The pool is one of the nicest we’ve seen and we travel to top resorts often. The kids section of the pool (sandy bottom area that’s 1.5 feet deep) was perfect for little ones, even our 2 year old. The pool was the perfect temperature and the 2 jacuzzis were large and very nice. There was no chair saving/hogging with towels like we often see from selfish adults at large resorts. The downstairs bar serves great drinks, always with a smile. We loved getting to know the bartenders (Marcy and Glenn, I believe), both of whom went out of their way for us and our kids. Try the Hawaiian margarita and the “build your own smoothies”. The gym was nice and well equipped. The running path both along the beach and in front of the villas were nice and well maintained. The path on the beach starts to get busy around 8 so get out there early if you want to run. The rooms were AMAZING, especially ours. The view was great, the seating was perfect for a group of our size (3 adults, 2 kids). It was nice having so much space! We cooked in several nights and found everything we needed. There are no restaurants on property but there are several within walking distance. I highly recommend Moneypod for happy hour. If you have kids make reservations at Aulani’s character brunch, it’s GREAT! We drove to Tanioka’s fish market in Waipahu (15 minutes away if not rush hour) for fresh fish and hit the Kapolei farmers market for fresh vegis. The only helpful tips I’d make are to add a few more things to the unit: drawer space (master had no dresser, only bathroom drawers for clothes), trash cans in all rooms/bathrooms, larger trash can in kitchen, separate cans for recycle, and a vegi peeler in kitchen. Also the stove takes 40 minutes to preheat and from my experience with Wolf (VERY high end oven), this means it’s likely broken and using more electricity than it should. Otherwise they’ve thought of EVERYTHING to make this feel like home! Mahalo to Erin and Munro for an AMAZING trip. See you soon!” – Marissa, Hale Makana Villa

“If you love the sounds of the waves crashing out side your window, this is the place for you. This place was so relaxing. The snorkeling right outside of the complex in a protected lagoon was great for the family. The home was well decorated and comfortable. Sitting outside on the patio in the early morning was probably my favorite part of being there. I would have no problem recommending this place to my close friends.” – Michael, Hale Ohana Villa

“My husband and I have been married 36 years and this was the most relaxing enjoyable vacation we have ever been on. The villa was decorated beautifully in true Hawaiian style. We had everything we needed at our fingertips including beach chairs and beach towels, for the pool or lagoon. Our favorite feature was the sliding glass doors that open up to a beautiful view of the ocean, lagoons and pools. We left the windows open at night to enjoy the cool tropical breeze and the sound of the surf pounding on the reef. The resort is quiet, relaxing and peaceful. You don’t have all of the noise and traffic that you find on Waikiki side, You really don’t need to leave the resort but if you want to there are restaurants, grocery stores and movie theatres just a short distance from the resort. The villa was very clean and stocked with dishes, pots, silverware, and anything else you might need in a kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and there was a flat screen tv in all of the bedrooms as well as the living room. The owner was very friendly and helpful in giving advice on places to see on our visit and answering any question that we had. We felt like we were truly in paradise and are looking forward to our next visit. We will definitely being staying in the Ko olina beach villa again. No more noisy crowded and cramped hotel rooms for us. Ko Olina is where you want to go if you want to see the true beauty of hawaii!” – Cindy, Hale Ohana Villa

“My family just got back from an amazing stay at Ko Olina Beach Villas. The condo was spectacular and fit our needs in every way. There is so much space and having three bathrooms was awesome. The sunsets were so perfect. We would stay again for sure.” – KO, Hale Ohana Villa

“This was a wonderful home for us to stay in on our first trip to Hawaii. It was everything presented online and so much more. We are planning our return trip and we have only been home two days. Thank you so much for your hospitality and thinking of all the little things that allowed us to really just enjoy ourselves. The views from this condo are so unreal the leave you wondering if your looking at a picture.” – Chris, Hale Ohana Villa

“We had a wonderful stay. It is a beautiful property with all the amenities you can imagine. The condo was very clean and comfortable, the view from the lanai was spectacular. We went to several restaurants in the area and attended a luau at Paradise Cove (just down the road). There is also a little shopping area nearby with a great little grocery. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. It was absolutely breathtaking. I would recommend this condo to anyone. It had three bedrooms and three bathrooms, so it’s ideal for groups. We hope to be able to stay there again one day.” – Sue, Hale Ohana Villa

“This was the perfect place for a relaxing week in Hawaii. The condo was very comfortable and accommodating. It was nice to have meals out on the balcony enjoying the ocean views. Our group really enjoyed the kitchen and space. The location is perfect for those who want to avoid the congestion of Waikiki. The beach is footsteps away and the pool is relaxing. There are also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance for those who’d rather not cook. Munro was very responsive before our arrival and ensured our check-in was smooth. The concierge service at the beach villas was very informative. Blayne gave great recommendations and was very helpful in planning our week. Overall, we had a great time and were impressed the the quality of the condo and the location. We will definitely rent again the next time we are in Oahu.” – Jeff, Hale Ohana Villa

“I have a timeshare at the very wonderful Marriott KoOlina Beach Club but had to rent another accommodation for a wedding party. We have always enjoyed our stay and reluctantly allowed other family members to stay at the Beach Club while we stayed at this VRBO property because of the uncertainty and given the Marriott was a known for us. WE ARE SO HAPPY THAT WE DID!!! The rooms were all very generous in size and the wrap around deck that could be accessed from two bedrooms and the kitchen/dining area was perfection. The pocket doors off the kitchen/DR allowed the huge space to be further expanded to include the deck and was so enjoyable! When it was too sunny, the high tech blinds were just what was needed. Plenty of towels, beach toys/chairs, spices – little extras one often does not get at a condo. And the bathrooms and showers were also top tier. Murdock was so very helpful from answering our questions timely in the beginning and all along the way. He ensured we knew how everything worked (great kitchen appliances and AC) as he greeted us upon arrival and checked in in on us. Knowing he was right in the area should a problem arise was also nice to know. We ended up having 5 adults, but it would have accommodated others easily. Twice we had a group of 9 over for festivities and dinner and it was most comfortable. We used the BBQ on property to cook perfect lamb loin chops 🙂 The pools are very clean and in a beautiful setting (cool lawn chairs that sit in the pools), grounds very well kept, and the stellar beach was only steps away. Great places to eat all around and a very handy market close by. We used the mile long walking path along the beach every day and have always found KoOlina to be an easy drive away from surfing on the North Shore, action down in Waikiki and even for treks to the east side of the island. We will definitely stay here again!!!” – Robbi, Hale Ohana Villa

“My family and I couldn’t be more happy with this property at the Ko Olina Beach Tower Villas. We loved the location, the view, the safety, the amenities of the property and the very welcoming attitude of the owners. If we return to Ohau, we will be trying to stay here again. Thank you so much!!” – Cathy, Hale Ohana Villa

“This was our first trip to Oahu. Wanted to be away from Waikiki and all the traffic. This is the perfect spot. And the views, just what I wanted to see. The heated pool is wonderful. Spent time with family after a wedding on Maui. The unit was Amazing. Didn’t need anything. Went to Pearl Harbor, the Missouri, Pacific Aviation Museum, Punch Bowl and the Polynesian Cultural Center and then just spent time at the Resort. We will return. And will stay here. Thanks to the owners for such a lovely condo!” – LO, Hale Ohana Villa

“The place and view was absolutely beautiful! Was hard to leave the balcony! Loved the set up of the bedrooms(great views also) and bathrooms – great space and private from main area. Kitchen was wonderful and so convenient to be able to eat there in the villa, was thankful for the starter set of supplies. Pool areas and hot tubs were awesome – were in them everyday. Would definitely stay here again.” – GLS, Hale Kai Villa

“Our stay at this beautiful condo exceeded our expectations. The views are amazing and the evening sunsets were picturesque. The owner was attentive and met all our our requests prior to arrival. The condo boasted all the amenities of home. We enjoyed preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen and used the on site barbecue grill. Shopping in Waikiki was amazing. We encountered a minor appliance issue, contacted the owner and the repair was made within an hour. We recommend grocery shopping at Costco and Safeway for the best one stop selection of food. Golf at the Ko Olina Golf Club was one of the highlights of our stay. The lagoon was clean and never crowded. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to return very soon.”  – CA, Hale Kai Villa

“We stayed 6 nights in this fantastic villa. The villa looks even better in person than the pics posted. The view of the ocean and sunset everyday is just priceless. We had many meals by the balcony while viewing sunset, what a great way to wind down the day (no mosquito issue). There are also many dinning options within Ko Olina or venture out to near by Kapolei. The villa is well kept and has all the expected amenities and comfort of a home. Even stocked with beach toys, towel and chairs, fantastic! Very easy to get all your shopping done with nearby Costco, target and Walmart. The lagoon in the front is probably the best one, never too crowded unlike the one in front of Aulani (with all the kayaks and paddleboards). Also saw some turtles within our lagoon. However, we saw 6 turtles one day over the hidden/secret lagoon which is just a short walk up north passed JW Marriott Spa. A quiet protected beach that is connected with Lanikuhonua beach by paradise cove. Well worth the little hike. Management is very responsive. We were greeted by Blayne and he was entertaining and energetic, took his time to show us around the facility and the villa. We were challenged by the TV entertainment system and Munro came promptly and addressed the issue. Check out was a breeze. Overall, a fantastic perfect stay!!” – Dickson, Hale Kai Villa

“The beach villa penthouse was even better than the description. Superbly equipped kitchen with everything a person could need to take advantage of the great cooking facilities both in the villa and on the property grounds. Really appreciated all the extra pillows in each bedroom and the quality of the beds made for an extremely comfortable sleep. The pools and the lagoon make this an amazing vacation property for the kids as there is no shortage of water activities to keep them occupied.” – Scott, Hale Honu Villa
